Financial Wellness

Preparing for college goes far beyond the admission and financial aid application process. Many students will be managing their finances on their own for the first time, which is an important part of the college experience. We encourage students to plan for anticipated expenses, prepare a budget, and consider the impact their financial decisions will have on their credit.

Managing personal finance can be a daunting task. The Office of Undergraduate Financial Aid is committed to educating and empowering Northwestern students to make informed decisions about money management. The Financial Wellness website helps to equip students with the knowledge and resources to manage their finances at Northwestern and beyond. Topics include:

Money 101: The basics of financial literacy and personal finance, including budgeting, banking, and credit.

Financial Planning: Prepare for life after Northwestern with information about retirement planning, tax help, and more.

Student Loan Management: Information and resources about loan repayment

Saving in College: Browse money saving tips and discounts available to NU students.
