The scholarships and grants featured on our site are given to students who demonstrate financial need. This type of funding does not need to be repaid.

Northwestern Scholarships and Grants

Scholarships from Northwestern are need-based, often made up of donor funding, and are awarded to approximately 45% of undergrads each year.

Federal and State Scholarships and Grants

Domestic students with high financial need may qualify for federally funded aid like Pell Grants and Federal SEOG. Students from Illinois who have high need may also qualify for the Illinois MAP Grant.

Outside scholarships are funds awarded by entities apart from the federal, state, and institutional aid programs.

If you receive an outside scholarship, you are required to report it to our office so we can post the funds to your student account.
