Mechanical Engineering: Website Programmer and Data Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Available Fall 2019

The Industrial Sustainability Analysis Laboratory develops mathematical models for evaluating sustainable technologies. The undergraduate researcher will develop scripts and website codes to integrate our lab's models into web interfaces, enabling users from around the world to interact with our models. You will also interact with a PhD student to design, test, and launch the model interface, including different options for visualizing the model's outputs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2019-20 academic year.

Demonstrated experience with website development, coding, and development of client-side Javascript code and/or server-side code for running web applications. Experience with data visualization would be a plus. Experience with Python or R programming and visualization packages desirable.

PAY RATE: $12.50/hr
