JOB DESCRIPTION:

Available Winter 2020

The department of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences Center for Engineering and Health is looking for a work-study research assistant with an interest in public health and healthcare. The research assistant will support a project to reduce the rate of discard of donated kidneys. Tasks include transcribing interviews, coding interview data using qualitative analysis software (MaxQDA) and assisting with study recruitment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2019-20 academic year.

The research aide must be available to work at least 8 hrs/wk.

Strong organizational skills, interest in the research topic, and the ability & willingness to speak with transplant patients, doctors & admin to recruit participants for the study are required.

Prior coursework/experience with qualitative research is strongly preferred. Prior experience using qualitative data analysis software (Nvivo, MaxQDA, ATLASti) is a plus.

PAY RATE: $15.00/hr
