JOB DESCRIPTION:

Available Spring 2018

Research assistant needed to support dissertation work. The study investigates how young girls develop civic consciousness and engage in complex-systems thinking in a civics coding camp. The research assistant will primarily transcribe videos. There is also the opportunity to code transcribed data. 10-15 hours per week. Most of the work will be done remotely with infrequent meetings via phone or in-person to discuss progress or any concerns/questions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2017-18 academic year.

  • One year experience in similar tasks is preferred
  • Computer experience, and ability to work with little supervision required
  • Writing skills, attention to detail, organized

PAY RATE: $10.00/hr
