JOB DESCRIPTION:

Available Winter 2020. People & Talent.

Rotary International is seeking a work-study student to assist our People and Talent (Human Resources) department. Dependent on the student’s work-study allotment, hours will range from 10-15 per week.  The intern will gain exposure to Human Resource workplace activities and culture and basic administrative skills.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Must be able to work well independently and in a team or group setting
  • Must be service-oriented and enjoy helping people
  • Must be organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines
  • Expert abilities in office productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must maintain total confidentiality and integrity

Specific Duties

  • Assist w/scheduling interviews
  • Maintain employee files
  • Serve as records retention coordinator
  • Sort and deliver mail
  • File, copy, fax, and other clerical work
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2019-20 academic year.

Prior internship with administrative duties is a plus

PAY RATE: $14.00/hr
