JOB DESCRIPTION:

Available Winter 2020

Open Studio Project (OSP) is a non-profit arts organization located in Evanston. We serve both the general public and the diverse community of underserved local residents. Our mission is to utilize and bring the creative process to individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and to empower people to turn to art for personal growth. We provide workshops and community outreach programs for adults, children and toddlers. We also host group and individual exhibits at our gallery space, Gallery 901.

This position reports to the Business Manager & Executive Director.  Duties include but are not limited to assistance with the following:

  • Mailing list, data entry, donor acknowledgements
  • Social Networking
  • PR/Marketing, including promoting programs, community outreach, creating invites/marketing e-mails
  • Assist in development and take part in our annual fundraiser, Artopia
  • Other duties as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2019-20 academic year. 

Open Studio is small non-profit. Due to the size of the organization, work-study students assist in many aspects of the organization. Ideal candidates should be self-motivated, independent, enjoy learning new tasks and demonstrate responsibility and leadership with projects. Computer literate, ideally with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, databases and social networking sites. Great place for students interested in non-profit work, the arts, and creativity! 

PAY RATE: $13.00/hr
