Student Affairs Information Technology: Desktop Support Technician

DEPARTMENT: Student Affairs Information Technology 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Available Fall 2017

The office of Student Affairs Information Technology is seeking to fill openings for Fall 2015. Students will be responsible for providing basic computer support to staff in the Division of Student Affairs, which includes providing front line support through telephones and ticketing system, on-site troubleshooting, and maintenance on desktop and laptop computers. Schedules are flexible and business hours are 8-5 M-F. These positions provide experience comparable to internships in IT.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2017-18 academic year.

No previous IT experience or advanced computer skills are required. Patience, communication skills, and interpersonal skills are needed. Basic computer aptitude and interest in learning are greatly preferred.

PAY RATE: $12.00/hr, with yearly performance-based raises
