Psychology: Research Aide/Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Project on Children's Thinking, headed by Dr. Dedre Gentner, studies the development of children's thought and language. We are looking for a detail-oriented, outgoing, and enthusiastic research assistant to help recruit new families to participate in our research this quarter! This is a great opportunity to gain research experience in preparation for graduate studies in the field of psychology. QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2017-18 academic year.

Experience with children; Ability to interact well with parents, children, school personnel, etc.; Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must; Knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn other computer applications. Preferred: Undergraduate coursework in psychology, early childhood education or related field; Two quarter commitment (one year preferred) and 8 hours per week minimum.

PAY RATE: $10.00/hr
