JOB DESCRIPTION:

Available Fall 2017

Work with a Northwestern University-based center for excellence to administrate a national, longitudinal research study of older learners involved in Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes. Gain valuable experience with an academic research project and acquire skills within a growing area of higher education programming. Other responsibilities may include organizing curricular materials, assisting with consultation projects, proofreading, data entry and analysis, and online research. The position’s work will be done at the Osher National Resource Center, located on the Chicago campus in Wieboldt Hall, although some remote working arrangements may be allowed. We will pay you for travel time and can work flexibly with your schedule. There is a free intercampus shuttle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2017-18 academic year.

Solid writing and research skills; and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel are required; some familiarity with academic research protocols would be a plus.  

PAY RATE: $11.00/hr + travel time
