McCormick-Ford Prototype Lab: Student Shop Trainer

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Available Fall 2017

The Student Shop Trainers work with DTC (Design Thinking and Communication) students in the Ford Prototype Shop. They offer guidance and help to the students, along with demonstrating operation of shop machinery, maintaining safety in the shop, and keeping the shop organized. Student Shop Trainers are expected to work 6-10 hours per week.  There are currently 6+ positions open.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2017-18 academic year.

A Student Shop Trainer candidate needs to be willing to learn the operation of the various pieces of equipment in the shop. They must also be willing to interact with the shop users and have a good attitude. It is a plus if the candidates have a knowledge of the Ford Prototype Shop and its equipment.  

PAY RATE: $10.00/hr
