Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering: Research Aide

Do you have a passion for sustainability, enjoy working with data and spreadsheets, and want to contribute to reducing global energy use? If so, read on! I'm looking for one or more student researchers to compile U.S. energy data, conduct analysis to fill critical data gaps, and build spreadsheets to calculate key inputs for a open-access model that enables companies and policy makers to reduce energy inputs along the global supply chains of many different manufactured products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2017-18 academic year.

Experience working with large datasets and building well-organized spreadsheets; familiarity with basic energy concepts, units, and terms; demonstrated analytical skills (e.g., through coursework or projects); strong work ethic; ability to work independently and in teams; ideal for engineering and science students, but any major will be considered with the above skillsets.

10-15 hours per week

PAY RATE: $12.25/hr
