YWCA Evanston/North Shore: Emergency Shelter Aide

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Available Fall 2017

This is a great opportunity to learn how a community-based nonprofit functions and gain valuable experience supporting the operations of an emergency domestic violence shelter. Located near downtown Evanston, this position will assist the shelter supervisor in coordinating daily operations of the shelter, including processing abundant in-kind donations and supplies and restocking inventory, cleaning as needed, and ensuring a positive experience for residents. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must be an NU undergraduate student with a Federal Work-Study allotment for the 2017-18 academic year.

Must be professional and discrete as you will work around survivors of domestic violence. Must be a hard worker, willing to lift, carry, sort, and move shelter inventory.
